Lack Of Performance
Friday, June 23rd, 2006You may notice that I have stopped updating my “Performance Indicators”. The reasons are numerous, but can be whittled down to
1. It is extremely time consuming to trawl my notebook to gather the information
2. It doesn’t really make good reading
3. I do not get a minute on my arse during work, and rarely get a full scoff break
4. This means that in essence, during work hours, I am as busy as f**k
5. My telling you I managed 1 arrest and 1 fixed penalty in a given month gives the wrong impression that I do nothing, when, as mentioned in “4″ I am as busy as f**k
My force has a nice electronic system that allows me to check my activity which is gathered automatically from various other computer systems. If I find a nice easy way to generate a monthly report that I can harvest the data off for here, I might resurrect the posts, but certainly in their current format they are no more.
It’s a good thing posting performance indictors isn’t a performance indicator!
