About Me
This weblog reflects my own personal views and experiences. It in no way represents the views of my force.
All events and scenarios that are depicted within my weblog are real, though (hopefully) sufficient detail has been changed to ensure that the message conveyed is the same, but that the specifics of the incident are unidentifiable. If you think you recognise a situation or person described within this weblog, you are mistaken. If you’re not mistaken, please let me know, and I’ll make sure you are mistaken.
I had a good career in IT for over 12 years before in my early 30’s, feeling unfulfilled and in need of a challenge, and wanting to personally do something about the scum of society who make everyone else’s life a living hell, I joined the police. A new world is opening up before my eyes that I would like to share. This is not the jaded view held by tired old police officers or of someone with a grudge against society, and those unfortunate to be on the wrong side of the law. I don’t yet believe that all we have come down to is “us” and “them”.
This is the view of someone who wants to live in a better society, and can think of no better way to help than to be on the ground trying to improve local people’s quality of life. This is the view through the eyes of a “Brand New British Bobby”.
By the way… no, I wasn’t bullied at school.
